Morning Hotel Pick-up & Departure (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM): The day begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Malindi. You'll be transferred to the departure point to board your boat for the day . The exact departure time is often flexible and depends on the daily tide schedule .
Stop 1: Snorkeling in Malindi Marine National Park (Approx. 1 hour): Your first stop is the protected waters of the Malindi Marine National Park. Here, you'll have the opportunity to snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and swim alongside a diverse array of tropical fish, sea turtles, and other marine life. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and a guide is usually present to ensure a safe experience .
Sail to Sardegna 2 Island: After snorkeling, you'll sail about 7 kilometers to the main attraction: the "Sardegna 2" sandbank . This is a pristine stretch of white sand that emerges during low tide, creating a temporary island in the middle of the turquoise Indian Ocean .
BBQ Seafood Lunch on the Sandbank: Once you arrive at Sardegna 2, you can relax on the white sand, swim in the shallow, crystal-clear waters, and sunbathe. The boat crew will prepare a fresh seafood BBQ lunch on the beach or on the boat. The menu often includes lobster, prawns, grilled fish, coconut rice, and tropical fruits .
Afternoon Relaxation & Return: After lunch, you'll have more free time to enjoy the island before the tide returns. You'll then begin your journey back to the mainland, arriving at the departure point around 4:00 PM, where your driver will be waiting for your return transfer to your hotel .
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or specified pick up location in the morning 1 hour before activity stRTS and drive you to the beach where your sea adventure begins. A comfortable boat will be waiting, equipped with glass bottoms so you can admire the marine life even before getting wet!
After lunch and a final swim, we begin our return around 3:00 PM—depending on the tide. Arrival back at the beach is around 4:00 to 4:30 PM, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
